ABOUT US
John and his wife Gillian are the owners of Ballyogue Stud nestled between the Comeragh Mountains and the Copper Coast of County Waterford in the South East of Ireland.
John is the third generation to take care of Ballyogue and he took over the farm from his father in 1999. With help from his mother Breda, brother Jerry and a small team, Ballyogue has enjoyed plenty of success.
Joncol
Joncol was a highlight in Ballyogue's history, bred here out of Finemar Lady. Joncol went on to win the Hennessy Gold Cup and the John Durkan Chase at Punchestown.
In more recent times John and Family are delighted with the recent success of Classic Theatre, out of Another Cliché
trained locally by Henry de Bromhead. She now has black type too since coming third in the Ballymore Irish EBF Novice Chase at Roscommon.
Another happy success is Cross My Mind by Cape Cross and out of our mare Zaaqya. She has just won her third race in UK with trainer Ralph Beckett.
